A classic, doubly terminated, mostly colorless sapphire from Sri Lanka. This gemmy and lustrous cutie has textbook hexagonal form, is well-striated and has excellent, typically pronounced, stepped-growth faces. The termination areas are much gemmier, have a pretty purple tint, than the translucent, included, central portion of the crystal. Pristine and highly representative from the famous deposits at Ratnapura. You don"t see many of these around anymore. Complete all-around and pristine. 37.59 carats or 7.5 grams.
