Item Description
A highly representative thumbnail pair of the rarest of beryl species from Utah. The doubly terminated crystals have high luster and gorgeous violet-red color. Portions of the crystals are very gemmy and portions are included with rhyolite. Rhyolite coats parts of both crystals. Nevertheless, these are important thumbnail crystals. The backlit photo highlights the gorgeous, intense color saturation. There has been very little recent production from this famous locale. In fact, almost none. And there will never be much more, I would bet, with the current politics and mining there. 9.1 carats or 1.8 grams. 4.67 carats (long xl) and 4.43 carats (fat xl).
