Item Description

A wonderful, complete all-around and pristine, doubly terminated red beryl crystal from Utah. The crystal has high luster and gorgeous variable violet-red color. Portions of the crystal are gemmy and portions are included with or have embedded rhyolite, including the terminations and the out-of-sight back of the crystal. A highly representative thumbnail of the rarest of beryl species. There has been very little recent production from this famous locale. In fact, almost none. And there will never be much more, I would bet. This outstanding thumbnail is intense, sharp, and complete. From the noted thumbnail collection of Irv Brown. Valued $1000. 10.77 carats.
