Doubly terminated matrix celestine specimens are RARE from this well-known Ohio quarry and this is a very fine example. The glassy, translucent, lustrous, light blue-gray crystal has frosted faces. The single chisel termination, multiple terminations and sculptural attached matrix add real pizzazz to this piece. The chisel tip is pristine, with only trivial edge wear noted above it. One tip is broken off of the multiple termination end, but is certainly only a modest detraction to this very showy and rare doubly terminated matrix specimen. Valued at $400-500 for rarity and quality. A must for the locality or species collector.
