A beautiful and classic gem doubly terminated indicolite tourmaline from circa 2010 finds at the famous Pederneira Mine. The limpid, very glassy, highly lustrous, well-striated crystal with a pretty teal-blue body has a striking matte rich indicolite-blue termination at one end. The other termination has a 4 mm teal-green section below the matte, modified pinacoidal termination. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. The one clean repair near the middle of the crystal is certainly acceptable in the context of pegmatite species. The crystal glows, when backlit. VERY difficult to photograph correctly with the gemminess, glassiness, high lustre and striations. MUCH better in person! 11 grams mass.
