Item Description

Dravite tourmaline specimens are VERY RARE from any of the 11 locales listed by MINDAT and mineral specimens of ANY TYPE are EXTREMELY RARE from this obscure Xinjiang district which also hosts a gold mine. This is a VERY RARE sharp, gemmy, doubly terminated, variegated honey-yellow trigonal crystal with glassy luster from a New Find. A complete all-around and pristine floater. Fascinating and most rare material from a new Chinese find - the only complete crystal we saw at a recent show in china. The crystal lights up with rich golden color, when backlit. 68.13 carats or over 13 grams mass.
