Item Description

An unusually large, lustrous and partially gemmy, rich teal-blue fluorapatite from Russia. It is huge for the color and quality, and jsut glows when backlit! These are special apatites, seldom seen now for sale. The doubly terminated, sharp crystal is complete-all-around and nearly pristine (just a few small dings). it has a rounded, "melted look" in portions but this is natural, and typical of the material. A significant large crystal from this locale. Weighs 77 grams. valued$750-1000. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection.
