Doubly terminated Celestine

Item Description

Celestine specimens from the Maybee Quarry are a Michigan and USA classic. This impressive parallel-growth cluster of bi-colored, stout, lustrous, glassy, translucent to transparent prisms have striking, sharp, offset chisel terminations. The blue-gray chisel terminations are dramatically enhanced by the vivid, steel-blue areas of the prism faces. The multiple terminations at the base add even more character. The attachment on the back is out-of-sight on the super frontal display view. Ex. Robert Nowakowski Collection RN16 and collected in January, 1990. Good celestine specimens from the quarry have been rarely on the market since the mid-1960s and this is an outstanding and rare bi-colored example.
