Doubly terminated Calcite twin

Item Description

An impressive, large, pristine, doubly terminated and twinned calcite crystal is dramatically set on matix on this very fine large example from recent Chinese finds. Both sides have prominent twin notches. One side of the glassy, translucent crystal has a gray iron oxide coating, while the other side shows the glassy crystal with scattered pretty iridescent, golden-yellow coatings and unkown pink crystal sections in the matrix (zeolites?). A very fine two-sided calcite from Daye County. Valued at $500-700 for crystal size and quality.
