Item Description

A striking and excellent doubly terminated calcite from this obscure Virginia limestone quarry. The lustrous, straw-yellow crystal, with frosted faces has beautifully gemmy terminations. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. Two contacts are noted on the front and one on the back, but there is no damage, per se. The attachment is at the base. RARE and choice calcite from this locale from the Cynthia Payne Calcite Collection. A MUST for the Virginia or species collector.
