Item Description

A striking 7.3 cm doubly terminated crystal dominates this classic and aesthetic matrix calcite from this famous Ohio quarry. The translucent scalenohedrons have classic golden-amber color and dense stepped-growth faces with satin lustre. The crystals GLOW, when back lit. The large crystal is pristine. The smaller crystal has a slightly contacted tip, which is barely noticeable. Older material, as specimens of this quality came out in the 1950s to mid-1970s, with very few since.
