Doubly terminated Baryte

Item Description

This less well-known French locale has produced some fine gemmy barytes and this is an excellent and aesthetic small cabinet. The sharp, very glassy variable honey-brown crystals are water-clear to translucent. The striking large crystal is doubly terminated. The upper part of the left side and the back of the upper termination are contacted, but there is very little actual damage. A very fine and rare example of the species and locale from the Paco Gutierrez Collection.
