Item Description
An old-time, extremely fine and very rare, doubly terminated, amethyst scepter from Larimer County, Colorado! The glassy, translucent, juicy, variable grape-purple scepter is impaled on a sharp, sparkly, hematite-coated, pseudohexagonal, smokey quartz crystal. I have not seen a Colorado amethyst scepter of quality. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. A super-trivial bit of termination wear is noted, as is contacting on the lower right front and the very minor bruising near the contact by the smoky quartz stalk. This is an exceptional Colorado amethyst scepter. Ex T.M. Phetteplace, Don Belsher and Robert Nowakowski Collections.
