Item Description
A striking and excellent amethyst scepter with beautiful, variable, grape-purple color and high luster from the increasingly important Orange River area of Nambia. The doubly terminated amethyst scepter itself is an incredible 8 cm and has multiple cascading lower terminations. The hint of hematite tinting on the phantom in the termination is a super accent. The primary termination has a bit of barely noticeable edgwear and contacting on one side is out of sight. Amethyst, truly, is rare from Orange River localities as opposed to the more northerly Brandberg and Goboboseb locales. A highly representative and impressive example. Ex. Charlie Key dealer stock.
