Item Description
A striking, doubly terminated, highly lustrous, jet-black, aegirine crystal cluster from Mt. Malosa. The canted sidecar crystals at one end, the protruding, tiny, smoky quartz crystals on the other termination and the etched/pitted, dark green terminations really add character to this showy piece. Complete all-around, this floater specimen is essentially pristine. Acmite is a synonym for aegirine. Ex Joan Massague Collection and purchased from Herb Obodda in 1996 when the deposit first started producing. Certainly one of the better Mt. Malosa aegirine specimens we have offered at auction, this ROBUST and large, fat crystal is valued at $750-900
