Dolomite with Malachite

Item Description

A classic Tsumeb Dolomite specimen featuring dozens of very sharp, rather lustrous, well-formed rhombs of measuring up to about 1.8 cm, associated with accenting green Malachite for a nice touch of contrast. The crystals have formed a very three-dimensional group, displayable from several angles. The Dolomites range from a slight off-white hue to a pale beige color. A tiny bit of olive-green colored Duftite is also present on the piece. Most of the crystals are completely undamaged. Even common species like Dolomite were typically found in superior quality examples from Tsumeb, like most of the minerals from this prestigious locale.
