Item Description

This piece is labeled as coming from the Glanzenberg Mine, but Dolomite is not reported from this locality, so perhaps the species was simply not reported, or it could be from a neighboring mine. Sharp, stepped, soft golden color crystals of Chalocpyrite are sitting on cream colored, rhombic Dolomite on matrix with crystals measuring up to 4 mm. Excellent condition all the way around, and the piece has good three-dimensional aesthetic appeal, and it's not just a "lump". We've honestly never had a piece to offer from the Glanzenberg Mine, so this would make a GREAT addition to any German mineral suite! Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3529). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
