Dolomite with Calcite & Arsenopyrite

Pastel-pink dolomite rhombohedrons cover both sides of this impressive, sculptural, large two-sided rib from the historic polymetallic-silver Stari Trg Mine in Kosovo. The dolomite rhombs have enhancing porcelaneous luster and are nicely accented with small seams of sharp, tiny, brilliant metallic arsenopyrite crystals. One side features a dramatic BONUS under UV light - this side is richly cover with drusy calcite and small flattened calcite rhombohedrons. The calcite rhombs and drusy calcite fluoresce orange under LW UV light. See the 2007 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 38, No. 4. Ex De Natura (Les Presmyk) dealer stock and valued at $600. Dolomite of this richness, quality and size is rare from here (although to be fair, many are probably found and mislabelled as calcite).
