A showy and rich combination from this historic locale. Minerals specimens of any species are rare from Laxey, Isle of Man. Pearlescent, sharp dolomite rhombs, to 1.3 cm on the diagonal, cover the quartz with sphalerite matrix plate. Scattered, sharp sphalerite crystals, to 9 mm, and a few brassy chalcopyrite crystals are a fine and classic accessory. Very fine and rare old-time 1800s combination material from an East Coast collection. Formerly in the Moritz Lechner Collection, a very prominent Austrian collector who died in 1903 and the Albert Sebela Collection, a Massachusetts collector who passed away in 2000, according to the former dealer label.
