Beautiful, pearlescent, stepped-growth, dolomite rhombs to 1.5 cm on edge are very aesthetically intergrown on this very fine large mounded specimen from Panasqueira. Scattered clusters of muscovite plates are a fine accent. Dolomite crystals rarely exceed 1.0 cm from here, according to the recent Mineralogical Record Special Issue. Essentially pristine, except for one spot of basal periphery wear. An exceptional two-sided specimen with rare, very large crystals from this renowned locale. Value??
