Item Description

An excellent and sculptural combination piece from this well-known locale. Sharp, lustrous, translucent dolomite rhombs, to 2.0 cm on the diagonal, have a striking yellow iron oxide coating. The rhombs cover the front and side of the mounded matrix of microcrystalline sulfides and quartz. A nifty, 3.8 cm long, cluster of lustrous, metallic-gray galena cuboctahedrons pokes out of the side. This is a very fine and impressive sulfide combination from Dal'negorsk. These may be calcite rhombs with a dolomite or iron oxide coating. Ex. Bob Trimingham Collection. Very choice and unusual Dal'negorsk combination material.
