Dolomite (twinned) on Quartz

Item Description

Lustrous, gemmy, lightly frosted, brown, dolomite crystals aesthetically encircle the base of a glassy, sharp, complete all-around, quartz crystal that is richly dusted with iron oxides. The dolomite is sharply twinned! The base and lower backside of the quartz crystal are covered with pastel-green plates of the uncommon mica group mineral phengite (so said label, though I do not value it for this). A contact on the front of the quartz crystal is no damage, per se, and is minimal anyhow. Very showy and rare combination material from the famed Brumado Mine of Brazil. Comes with a 1990s Roberts MInerals label with a $150 price tag.
