Item Description
A matrix plate bristling with sharp, ever so slightly frosted Quartz crystals to 2cm randomly oriented and hosting an epimorph of Dolomite after Calcite. This marvelous and contrasty small cabinet piece has the pink epimorph cast nestled right in the Quartz crystals and it measures 5.2 x 3.5 x 1.5cm. A myriad of tiny, saddle-shaped Dolomite comprise the epimorph cast and turning the specimen over one can see some hollow areas in the cast where the original Calcite has been dissolved. A few small Pyrite crystals are embedded in the Dolomite for added effect. Very interesting and subtle specimen!
