Item Description
Beautiful "flower petals" of pearlescent, bone-white, parallel-growth, classic flattened saddle-shaped dolomite rhombs are aesthetically clustered and isolated on the scuptural small cabinet matrix covered with dramatically contrasting ropy clusters of sparkly tan siderite rhombs with tiny underlying calcites. The sulfide matrix underneath is sphalerite with chalcopyrite. An exceptional dolomite varietal and pristine combination example from the historic mines at classic Cavnic. Ex Karl Warning Calcite Collection and acquired from Herb Obodda in Dallas on January 20, 2006. The piece has two fine display views.
