Item Description

A classic association specien from the Minerva No. 1 Mine (labeled as the Mahoning Mine). White groups of pearly Dolomite sit atop a translucent, lovely golden colored, scalenohedral Calcite crystal. This material was once common on the market, but has since dried up and is rarely seen for sale. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10492). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
