Item Description
Mineral specimens are RARE from the Cata Mine compared to its much more famous and prolific neighbors, the Rayas and Valenciana mines at historic Guanajuato. VERY RARE for the locale pearlescent, sugary clusters of tiny creamy dolomite crystals are richly festooned on the sculptural large plate of glassy, translucent, light blush-purple amethyst crystals, to about 2.8 cm. Ex Gary Weaver Collection. VERY RARE, rich and showy combination material from the locale.
