Dolomite (GEM twins) on Quartz

A really attractive and interesting specimen from Brumado featuring classic compressed twinned crystals of soft golden color Dolomite with selective alternating WATER CLEAR clarity and matte luster sitting on partial crystals of slightly smoky colored Quartz. Great quality, especially from the standpoint of the Dolomite, as the species is rarely seen in such well-formed twins, let alone GEM crystals. The Dolomites are nearly pristine (only a few tiny nicks) but this is FINE quality twinned Dolomite, and the best of these pieces are some of the biggest and gemmiest twinned specimens from any world locality. The largest Dolomite measures 1.4 cm. Small specks of Goethit and "Chlorite" can be seen included inside the Quartz crystals as well.
