Item Description
A very aesthetic and sculptural combination piece from this well-known locale. Super-sharp, lustrous, translucent, dolomite rhombs, to 1.6 cm on the diagonal, have a striking yellow iron oxide coating. The rhombs are dramatically scattered on the mounded matrix of metallic, partially melted cuboctahedral and cubic galena crystals and sparkly tiny sphalerites. This is a very fine, classic and impressive 360-degree sulfide combination from Dal'negorsk. A few of the rhombs are gently scuffed, but certainly nothing to detraction. These may be calcite rhombs with a dolomite or iron oxide coating. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. Very choice and unusual Dal'negorsk combination material.
