Dolomite (excellent twin)

A fantastic, very good sized Dolomite twin from the famous Azcárate Quarry in Spain. These are some of the most iconic Dolomite crystals in the world with their signature silvery color, razor-sharp rhombic form and gorgeous penetration twins. This miniature specimen features a predominant group of penetration twinned rhombic crystals with smooth, lustrous faces and excellent internal gemminess. You can see some distinct, but graceful striations here and there for a nice touch. It might appear that there are three crystals on the specimen, but if you flip it over, you'll see that there are only two rhombs, which makes for a cool optical illusion. The crystals even show slight internal phantoms. The piece is in very good shape on the front, though it is contacted on the back / bottom edges, so it's not 100% complete. An excellent piece of this classic material. Priced in the inventory at $800.
