A pair of GOOD sized, sharp, rather lustrous, GEM/gemmy colorless rhombohedra of Dolomite off matrix. Very fine quality all around and actually transparent in areas. The crystals are nearly 100% damage free, and the best part is that they are smooth and undamaged along the edges, and not chipped / cleaved like so many we've seen from this area. The piece shows slight penetration twinning, common for the locality and displays beautifully as you can see from the photos. The broad faces of the main crystal show excellent striations with brilliant luster. From an old East Coast collection, and comes with a label from the collection of Frank W. Hess, (erroneously labeled as coming from Pamplona). Valued at $1200.
