Dolomite epimorph cast after Calcite w/ Calcite

A really cool lightweight dolomite epimorph from Tsumeb. The concave side of this sculptural piece features very sharp, pretty light pastel-green cuprian dolomite epimorphs after calcite rhombs. The concave side is strikingly different, as it is totally covered with tiny, scintillating, gem, colorless calcite rhombs. Good timing, as the current issue of Rocks & Minerals has an excellent article on Tsumeb dolomite epimorphs and casts. From an East Coast collection and comes with a Zweibel Mineral Kingdom of Woodmere label, that dates from 1973-1980. Very choice and excellent material. valued $1250
