One of the signature minerals from Arkansas are the classic pink Dolomites from Black Rock. These specimens are not only iconic from Arkansas, but they are instantly recognizable around the world for their beautiful color and attractive crystal habit. This is a fantastic cabinet sized display specimen loaded with a full coverage of top quality, very sharp, highly lustrous, beautiful salmon pink colored slightly curved (almost "saddle-shaped") rhombs of Dolomite measuring up to 1.0 cm across which are associated with a handful of associated iridescent Chalcopyrite crystals on host rock matrix. No major damage, and very eye-catching for its three dimensional appeal and excellent crystals. This piece comes from the collection of Colorado mining legend, Dave Bergman. Dave is now retired from mining, but spent many years underground, including as the foreman and primary person in charge of recovering specimens at the famous Sweet Home Mine near Alma, Colorado during the late 1970s.
