Classic, textbook, lustrous, translucent, gray dolomite rhombs, to 3.5 cm, are dramatically clustered on the imposing sculptural matrix on this impressive large specimen from this renowned Spanish locale. The adorable, pristine, isolated pair of gemmy, color-zoned, interpenetrating rhombs is 2.9 cm across and the dominant large cluster is 7.0 cm across. All of the many major rhomb are pristine, except for trivial edge wear to the large rhomb in the main cluster and to a smaller rhomb in an isolated pair of rhombs. This striking and excellent large piece has multiple display views and is a European classic. Choice dolomite from the Natural History Museum of Alava and the Sanabria Collection.
