Item Description

A classic and showy large combination plate from the quarries at Black Rock. Classic, lustrous, saddle-shaped, pink dolomite rhombs cover the limestone matrix and are nicely accented with a sprinkling of sharp, brassy, iridescent, chalcopyrite sphenoids and a singly, glassy, translucent, 1.7 cm, colorless, calcite rhomb. The bit of noted periphery wear is a modest detraction to this large, colorful and excellent combination. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
