Item Description

A classic and showy combination specimen from the quarries at Black Rock. A striking bonnet of very glassy and gemmy calcite scalenohedrons to 2.7 cm rests atop a "ball" of classic, lustrous, saddle-shaped, pink dolomite rhombs. The rich sprinkling of sharp, brassy, chalcopyrite sphenoids is a nifty and common accent. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
