Item Description
Dolomite is not terribly common to find from area around Guanajuato. This piece is a beautiful display specimen hosts several "stacked" group of cream colored rhombic Dolomite, which are arranged into scalenohedral-shaped formations associated with minor Quartz and Calcite on minor matrix. The largest group measures 5.5 cm long. Very little damage, only notably around the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. I can honestly say that I've never seen a piece quite like this from Guanajuato, and if you're a fan of Mexican minerals, do not pass up this wonderful specimen from what was one of the largest silver producers in Mexico. Valued at $750 in the inventory.
