Item Description
An uncommon specimen of Dolomite which was originally noted as coming St. Catharines in Ontario, but I can't find another specimen that is specifically listed as coming from this town, so I'm simply leaving it as Niagara Falls. Many pale pinkish colored, vitreous curved rhombs of Dolomite measuring up to 1.0 cm cover the display side of this full cabinet sized display specimen. There are some tiny prismatic metallic crystals of what are likely Marcasite on the piece as well. Nearly all of the crystals are undamaged, save the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. A cool piece for any fan of carbonates or minerals from Canada.
