Item Description

Djurleite is an uncommon copper sulfide closely related to Chalcocite. It is very rarely reported and offered from the famous and now-closed mines at Butte. The Djurleite crystals here are lustrous, well-formed, steel-gray and, at 1.2 cm tall, they are remarkably large for the species! The Djurleite crystals have interesting, iridescent patina with flashes of blue and gold. The matrix is mostly Chalcopyrite, Pyrite, and Quartz.
