Item Description

Without question, when it comes to Dioptase, the greatest and most prolific locality for the species is Tsumeb, both in terms of quantity and quality. When you see a top quality Tsumeb Dioptase in person, it's simply breathtaking, and now they are very short supply on the market. This specimen exhibits the classic deep emerald green color that made these specimens so famous. The crystals themselves measure up to 4 mm and most are in excellent condition, with very little damage whatsoever on the display side. The final touch to this piece is that there is an eye-catching yellow color, tabular crystal of Wulfenite measuring 1.0 cm sitting on the end of the piece. This combination of Dioptase and Wulfenite is only seen in a few places on earth, at least with regard to display quality specimens, and the Tsumeb pieces are highly desirable these days. I don't have to tell you that the value of Tsumeb specimens seems to rise daily, and fine quality specimens are now highly sought after, and prized more than ever by dealers and collectors alike.
