Dioptase with Wulfenite

Dioptase is one of, if not THE most well-known mineral from Tsumeb. The finest specimens from this storied locality are unmatched in terms of quality, color and often gemminess compared to Dioptase from all other world localities. Dioptase also has certainly one of the most desirable and well-known green hues in the world. Most of them were mined over 50 years ago, so they are seldom seen on the market these days . This piece is a great association specimen featuring a coverage of sparkling emerald green colored trigonal crystal of Dioptase with a few rarely seen soft yellow colored Wulfenite crystals measuring up to about 8 mm on matrix. While neither Wulfenite nor Dioptase are rare species, but to find them together is fairly rare in nature, and outside of the Tiger, AZ, the only other truly significant examples of these two species together came from Tsumeb.
