Item Description

This is a great associated specimen from Tsumeb featuring brilliant emerald green trigonal crystals of Dioptase measuring up to 6 mm associated with a large acicular radial group of Malachite plus minor yellow-green Duftite plus Cerussite and the rare calcium zinc carbonate, Minrecordite (named for the Mineralogical Record magazine) Minrecordite is somewhat difficult to distinguish visually, since it has the same color and habit of Calcite, which is very commonly associated with Dioptase from Tsumeb. This piece comes with a label from Paolo Matioli. A good piece that is really fun to view under the microscope.
