Dioptase with Malachite

Item Description

A classic specimen of trigonal emerald green Dioptase on acicular Malachite from the famous copper producing region of the Kaokoveld in Namibia. Similar to Congolese Dioptase specimens in color, gemminess and quality. The largest Dioptase crystal measures 1.7 cm, and some of the smaller crystals are VERY gemmy when backlit. A good overall thumbnail specimen of this contemporary classic material. Good crystallized Dioptase is only found in a handful of worldwide localities with crystals of this size and quality.
