Dioptase with Calcite (ex Wes Parker Collection)

Item Description

A showy and excellent, two-sided, combination plate from Tsumeb. Gemmy and lustrous, emerald-green dioptase crystals to about 4 mm are richly scattered on both sides. One side is accented with sparkly, colorless calcite rhombs, while most of the calcites on the other sides are reddish with hematite inclusions. Periphery wear is noted on one side, but this remains a a highly representative example of the desirable combination species and locale. Ex. Wes Parker Collection
