Item Description

Scintillating, gemmy and lustrous, rich emerald-green dioptase crystals fill several vugs in this dramatic, LARGE CABINET, speicmen. Blue-green chrysocolla and some malachite are a nice compliment. This impressive large piece is from the well-known Christmas Mine of the Banner District. The bonus backside is covered with scintillating, smaller dioptase crystals. Much of the front has slickensides and there is a small patch on the back. The sparkle and gemminess of the dioptase crystals is exceptional. The richly covered massive matrix is very dense for its size and must be ore. Self-collected by Bob Hauck in 1984, according to his label. Valued at $900-1000.
