Item Description

Two generations of beautiful emerald-green, glassy, gemmy, dioptase crystals cover the calcite and matrix on this rich and showy specimen from the famous Type Locality. The larger crystals reach 7 mm. Classic dioptase from Altyn-Tyube from the Joe Lobell Collection. MUCH BETTER in person. Dioptase is notoriously difficult to photograph.
