Dioptase (Type Locality) on Calcite ex Obodda

Item Description

Gemmy and lustrous, rich emerald-green, dioptase prisms to 1.2 cm are festooned on the matrix plate and rest small calcite rhombs on this very fine and showy example from the Type Locality. The noted periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction to this large, highly representative example. It displays well from two sides, one side without aid. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this choice and rich specimen at $700, over seven years ago.
