Dioptase (Type Locality) on Calcite

Item Description

Gemmy and lustrous, emerald-green, dioptase prisms to 1.5 cm richly and attractively cover the calcite matrix on this excellent and showy example from the Type Locality. The bit of bruising to one of the calcite crystal clusters in the interior and trivial periphery wear are noted, but have very modest impact to the fine quality of this piece. It displays well from either side.
