Item Description

Gemmy and lustrous, rich emerald-green, dioptase crystals richly and very aesthetically cover the mounded calcite matrix on this most excellent specimen from the Type Locality - Altyn-Tyube in Kazakhstan. The superbly placed at the top, largest crystal is doubly terminated and is 1.7 cm. The color and quality of these dioptase crystals is better than average for this locale. Pristine. This is a very fine example of the species and famous locale. Hard to get in this quality, size and aesthetics. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
