Rich emerald-green, gemmy dioptase crystals to 1.1 cm are aesthetically scattered on calcite matrix on this showy and excellent specimen from an UNCOMMON dioptase locality - Dumesnil, Cordoba, Argentina. The base has been sawed to enhance the display quality. Ex Dave and Emily Stoudt Collection. Dave worked and lived in Buenos Aires. Purchased there in 2002, according to his label. Seldom on the market, we have seen only a bare handful of these rare specimens for sale. Valued $500-1000, a broad range as there just are not many comparables to go by
