Dioptase on Shattuckite

Captivating cluster of sharp, deep green Dioptase crystals, all set on a thin, beautifully contrasting crust of powder-blue Shattuckite. The sharp Dioptases have superb luster and a green fire that results from the inherent gemminess of the crystals. They are richly and evenly distributed all across the matrix. The largest Dioptase is 1.5 cm tall and .9 cm across, and it stands straight up from the matrix. Having a Dioptase crystal stand up in a such a prominent and visible manner is unusual, and a HIGHLY DESIRABLE attribute. This is a very aesthetic and sharp cluster - well above the norm.
